There are many things I wish to have done before I kick the bucket eventually, and as I went through a mental list in my head, I realised that most of the items involved travelling of some sort. Guess it’s true after all, that I live to travel.
So here’s my list, which I will eventually put up as a page of its own for tracking purposes. I will also update the list as and when applicable.
Visit Germany’s famous Christmas markets and spend a white Christmas in Europe.completed in Dec 2011 – Rothenburg, Nuremberg, Munich and Salzburg’s Christmas markets were visited before Christmas 2011.Attempt to travel alone.completed in Oct 2011. the experience was rather liberating and not as scary as I thought it would be!Pick up Japanese Language again.completed in Jan 2011. took me a whole decade to act on this.- Attain at least a proficiency of N3 in Japanese.
- Be reasonably good in skiing to handle intermediate slopes at ski resorts.
Pick up the Korean Language.started the elementary course in Feb 2012.- Travel on the Trans-Siberian Express from Moscow to Mongolia.
- Complete my ‘Two Girls at Piano‘ cross-stich.
- Attain at least a proficiency of Grade 5 in violin-playing.
Visit Cinque Terre.completed in Oct 2009. awesomely beautiful place!- Re-challenge the blue path of Cinque Terre.
- Visit Tibet, especially Potala Palace.
- See the Aurora Borealis.
- Swim with dolphins in the ocean.
- Read Jane Austen’s complete works.
- Read Shakespeare’s complete works.
- Watch Les Miserables the musical once more.
- Own a Franck Muller from the CINTRÉE CURVEX collection.
- Play Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata Movements 1-3.
Visit Mozart’s birthplace – Salzburg.completed in Dec 2011. totally love this favourite composer of mine.Sit on a gondola and be serenaded to in Venice.completed in Apr 2005. it was raining and at certain parts of the route, it smelled like the sewers!- Revisit Venice during our 20th Wedding Anniversary.
- Be at New York Times Square on New Year’s Eve.
- Visit Santorini, Greece.
- Visit Nagoya, Takayama and Shirakawago during winter.
- Read Charles Dickens’ complete works.
- Bring the parents on a grand tour of Europe. Or Japan, whichever their preference might be.
- Watch Oberammergau’s Passion Play in 2020.
